There is an overlap between Dragon and VoicePower commands so it can be difficult to tell whether a Dragon or VoicePower command is misfiring.

Generally I don't like one word commands because it's really frustrating to have a command recognized when you didn't issue it. However, I think I'll add "Maximize" and "Minimize" since they both have three syllables to the next release.

VoicePower : client windows paging

Client paging in Excel works consistently as long as I don't have to page up or down more than two or three pages (I may have gotten it to work once or twice with four pages). If I try to page up/down 5 to 10 pages the most it will go up/down is 2 to 3 (or possibly four).

Word seems to function a bit better when wanting to page up or down more pages (I am aware that the limit is 10), but there were a few times when it didn't seem to page up/down as many as it should have. On the whole though, this function works pretty well in Word. (I only tested it briefly though)

By the way, I'm using Office 2010.

I now have to use "place". I'm okay with this (although I do think "put" is easier to say), but I think "put" is still listed as an option in the instructions. Okay, I can't seem to find find it right now as most examples only use "place". But I know I've seen at least one instance of it somewhere.

Also, let me just say that I think this version of VoicePower has greatly improved menus, instructions, helps, etc. I'm impressed. It looks as if it tries to execute the command but is unable to do so for some reason. So far I have been unable to figure out when this will happen. A workaround that I discovered is to first issue a "move window…" command. After the window moves, it will then maximize properly. I think this may have happened to me when I wanted to minimize a window a time or two, but I can't be certain.

Has anyone else had this happen to them?

VoicePower : Computer scroll/page commands

When I first started using them the little command box that popped up telling me what commands I could use was quite helpful. However, sometimes that little box gets in the way of what you want to see (especially when I'm comparing two Excel spreadsheets) and so far I haven't figured out a quick way of closing it. Is there quick and easy way of closing a box besides clicking on it?

A side note: I noticed that the commands in that little pop-up box are different from the ones listed in the instructions of "2. Word tips and techniques" of the Microsoft Word lesson. I think the instructions say something like "please…" instead of "computer…" I couldn't get the "please…" commands to work.

VoicePower : Hidden ribbon

For example, if I say "home" <pause >"fill color", the letter "h" is entered into the cell. If the ribbon is already showing then the command works no problem. I'm using VoicePower version 11.7.1.1.

If my memory serves me correctly (and it doesn't always), I think I've experienced similar situations with other commands in either Word or Excel when the ribbon is hidden. Has anyone else found something similar?
